SPO ABC1-ABC2 Ascending Avacha volcano (1 or 2 days)

The ascending route is easy (type 1), i.e. no special equipment is needed to ascend it in summertime. Weather permitting, any one in reasonably good shape can ascend Avacha volcano. However we advise to choose One-day ascending tour (3.2) only for those who are confident in his abilities and have really good physical shape. In case of one-day tour you do not have time for acclimatization before the ascending and for good rest after it and before driving back to the hotel.

- waterproof hiking boots well worn in and comfortable;
- waterproof jacket with hood and Gore-Tex wind/rain pants;

- two pairs of hiking socks (one to wear and one to keep in reserve);
- a sturdy pair of hiking shorts/pants;
- large day-pack to hold your water bottle, extra clothing, snacks and personal equipment;
- sunglasses and/or glacier glasses (if applicable);
- chapstick-type lip moisturizer;
- suntan lotion or sunblock;
- sun hat;
- trekking pole(s);

- flashlight with extra batteries;
